NO WOOD BURNER BAN

Published 05/16 at 11:53 AM

There has been a lot of negative press in recent months on pollution from wood burners and

that they are likely to be banned.   This is simply not the case.

Much of the pollution that has been cited is produced by people burning unseasoned, wet or poor quality

wood on open fires which produce far more harmful emissions than wood burners.

The industry has received categorical assurance from the government that there will not be a

ban on wood burners.  The stove manufacturers are working hard on re-designing their stoves

to meet the new air regulations coming into force from 2022 which will ensure that less pollution

is produced by wood burning stoves.  Many manufacturers have already met and exceeded these targets

and there are many Eco Design ready stoves now available on the market.

Come and see us for more information on our Eco Design ready stoves.
